As you might've guessed, the Arturia Keylab Essential 88 USB/MIDI keyboard features 88 keys. In addition, this master keyboard offers seamless integration with many of Arturia's virtual instruments like the Analog Lab and V-Collection. Nine faders, nine encoders and eight drum pads make controlling your DAW and software-synths much more intuitive compared to a computer mouse and it goes without saying that the Keylab Essential 88 works equally well with other software packs. Speaking of which, a free copy of Ableton Live Lite comes included to send you off on a flying start.
The Keylab Essential 88: Expression & Complex Sequences
Since the eight pads are fitted with RGB LEDs, they're not only great for drum and percussion parts but allow for complex and detailed sequences. The faders and encoders, combined with Arturia's virtual instruments, are clearly laid out and won't have you searching for the functions you need, especially because the ones that are vital to you can be customised and assigned. You might even want to throw your mouse out the window, since the Keylab Essential 88 stands for complete and seamless DAW integration, which means you can trigger the play, stop, pause and start recording functions from the keyboard.

Erg fijn MIDI keyboard, gebruik deze om piano op te leren en muziek op te produceren. Het keyboard is perfect als je van plan bent veel met software synthesizers te werken (vanwege de vele draaiknoppen en faders). De toetsen maken niet veel geluid en voelen erg goed aan, niet als piano toetsen maar dat kun je ook niet verwachten voor deze prijs. De meegeleverde software is zeer goed, zelf beschikte ik al over de Arturia V Collection dus had ik er niet veel aan maar als je dat nog niet hebt zal je erg blij zijn met Analog Lab. De UVI Model D die wordt meegeleverd is wel heel erg nice en gebruik ik nu al een hoop. Als je op zoek bent naar een goed MIDI keyboard met 88 toetsen voor een lage prijs die met veel extra features komt dan hoef je niet verder te zoeken!
Besteld maar ongeopend retour. Had al zon mijn twijfels over de specs dus terwijl doos onderweg was Arturia gemaild. Blijkt - geen aftertouch itt tot wat er staat (stond). Enige alternatief dat AT lijkt te hebben in deze klasse is de nieuwe Nektar GXP88. Fingers crossed...

Gewelding MIDI keyboard. Speelt erg fijn en voelt gaan aan (als het aankomt op materiaal).
Daarnaast is hij erg mooi door de houten afwerking aan de zijkant en voegt hij iets heel moois toe aan jouw studio. Qua pads zijn deze aan de kleine kant, maar dat is een kwestie van wennen.
Je krijgt er Analog Lab bij en als je dacht dat je genoeg sounds had heb je t fout. Er gaat een hele nieuwe wereld voor je open met deze VST.
